The CAF African Player of the Year 2024 List is Reveting
The 2024 CAF Awards nominees list shows a huge shift from that o 2023 as some favorites are missing the list.

The CAF Awards 2024 is nearly here. It will be a great pleasure to see the best African players get rewarded for their work throughout the year. The favourites to receive the awards in 6 different categories of the CAF 2024 are those endorsed by the voting experts and stakeholders.
The 2024 list differs from that of the previous year by a lot of margin. Victor Oshimen, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and many others made the list of 30 for the men’s CAF African Player of the Year, the award’s most desirable trophy. From a list of 30, Victor Oshimen was the MVP in 2023 for winning in a category that had 29 other strong African players.
Achraf Hakimi the finalist last year lost out to Victor Osimhen who broke the over 20-year record in Nigeria. See the full list of the CAF 2024 Men’s Awards Nomination.
CAF African Player of the Year 2024 shortlisted 10 players and Victor Oshimen, Sadio Mane, and Mohamed Salah are nowhere. The number is also a huge reduction from the number listed for 2024.
In each category of the CAF 2024 Awards, one winner will receive a trophy at the night’s end.
Diamond Platnumz, the top Tanzanian Bongo Flava and Afrobeat star will headline the music performances of the CAF 2024 awards. Moroccan Afrobeat and Arabic singer, Dystinct will also feature on the CAF 2024 Awards stage.
Sports broadcaster and popular FIFA Ballon d’Or host Kate Scott will host the event alongside Moroccan radio and television journalist Jalal Bouzrara. The latter is returning as co-host after his first appearance in 2022.

South Africa’s Ronwen Williams is the player with the most CAF Awards 2024 nominations. He is nominated in 3 categories – Player of the Year, CAF Goalkeeper of the Year and CAF Interclub Player of the Year.
