Seven Doors is the directorial debut of Femi Adebayo, a shift in his film career. Each episode is carefully woven to take the audience through a path with the king as he opens seven doors and exposes a series of dark activities. The series is set in the 18th and 19th centuries. It explores family bonds and the sacrifices that shape them. In Seven Doors, Kingship is bestowed on whoever the revered Kingmakers Council - Afobaje - chooses. Not everyone agrees with the tradition and there is a chance it will not prevail.
