Peter Obi has confirmed he will run for president in 2027.

The former Anambra State governor has dismissed a joint ticket with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. He said that he is not going to be a part of any coalition that is not focused on securing the country.

Most importantly, he is not going to join forces if the intent is not to stop killing in Benue, Borno, Zamfara or to ensure that people have food and that the industries can be productive.

His watchword during an X session is “I want to see Nigeria work.”

This is while presenting an argument about the level of insecurity in the country. “Our soldiers are dying,” he said.

He further hints that Nigeria may be prioritising the wrong things, as the country appears to be at war.

The Obidient Movement 2027 – First 100 Days in Office

Having stated that Nigeria is dealing with misplaced priorities, he made his priorities clear to an audience of over 100 thousand people on X.

In his first 100 days in office, Peter Obi said that he will focus more on prioritising critical areas of measuring development — education, health, and ending poverty by cutting the cost of governance.

Though zeroing out on corruption and general refurbishing of the office in his time as a governor was tough, he intends to use the same methods in his first 100 days in office.

He promised to achieve general stabilisation of the country within two years if elected, pledging to pursue a non-violent campaign, and insisted that votes in 2027 must be accurately counted.

Obi also reaffirmed his support for rotational presidency between the North and South, citing his previous implementation of this principle as governor of Anambra State.
